  • 2 onions chopped
  • 1 chicken/vegetable stock cube
  • 450-500g green beans 1 lb
  • 5 garlic cloves crushed or grated
  • A small bunch of parsley chopped

  • Toss in the chopped onion and cook for about 3 minutes, just until it’s softened and see-through.
  • Stir in the chicken or vegetable stock cube, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix it all together.
  • Add the green beans and garlic to the skillet, then pour in 1 cup of hot water.
  • Cover and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the green beans are tender but still a bit crisp.
  • Finish it off with a sprinkle of chopped parsley. Give it a gentle stir to mix everything together.
