Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 5 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste or 3 grated garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp brown or barbecue sauce
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp grated pepper

Instructions

Start by combining all the seasonings in a large mixing bowl.

Thoroughly wash the chicken wings, removing any remaining feathers or impurities. Pat them dry with paper towels. Then, transfer the wings into the seasoned mixture in the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow the wings to marinate in the seasoning mixture for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) or Gas Mark 6 to ensure it’s ready for baking.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent the wings from sticking to the tray and make for easier cleanup. Arrange the marinated chicken wings evenly on the lined tray, ensuring they are not overcrowded to allow for even cooking.

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes or until the skin is crispy. Keep an eye on them as cooking times may vary depending on the size of the wings and your oven’s performance.

Once the wings are cooked to perfection, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in juicier wings.

Serve the wings hot, either as an appetizer or as part of a main meal. They pair well with a variety of dips and sauces for added flavour.

Enjoy!
